I have read Mia Breitkopf’s article on Roy Tennant’s Wake-Up Call to Academic Librarians multiple times over the past few days and continue to think of parallels that run between what Tennant warned the Academic Librarians Conference attendees, and the red flags that private law firm librarians should see in our environments.
Note: A few weeks ago I saw that the law library at the law firm of Bryan Cave had a Twitter account and was actively tweeting. The concept of a large law firm tweeting isn’t that unusual, but the idea of a library within the firm publicly tweeting did sound a little foreign to me.
If only I had an “empty shelves” photo to submit. But alas, in this regard my law firm library is way ahead of the curve, as we shed hundreds of books several years ago, and I did not take pictures of those empty shelves.
